Fed: Howard asked to give statement to Cole inquiry = 3

Trade Minister MARK VAILE will take the stand at the inquiry this afternoon .. and
Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER will appear tomorrow.

The Cole Commission is investigating almost 300 million dollars in kickbacks paid by
wheat exporter AWB to SADDAM HUSSEIN'S regime.

Mr HOWARD says the government .. which set up the inquiry last year .. has cooperated
fully with the commission .. and will continue to do so.
