ADVANCED CONSTRUCTORS INTERNATIONAL AWARDED CONTRACT FOR DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE REGIONAL POLICE TRAINING CENTER

According to DOD: Advanced Constructors International,Wilmington, Del., was awarded a $56,343,471 firm-fixed-pricecontract March 31, 2011. The award will provide for the design andconstruction of the Regional Police Training Center for the AfghanNational Police. Work will be performed in Kandahar Province,Kandahar, Afghanistan, with an estimated completion date of Oct. 21,2012. The bid was solicited through the Internet with 14 bidsreceived. The Afghanistan Engineering District, Kandahar Airfield,Afghanistan, is the contracting activity (W5J9LE-11-C-0020).
